Suspended solids and colloidal materials in feed water are one of the biggest problems in reverse osmosis systems. Silt Density Index (SDI) is the established measurement of this fouling problem, in which a 0.45 micron filter is exposed to the feed water under pressure and filtration rates are calculated. In most cases, an SDI of less than 5 is considered acceptable for the reverse osmosis systems.
SDI test kit is completely assembled in a portable, compact case, ready for on-site testing. Quick-Connect In and Out connections are built into product panel for fast and easy connection and disconnection on site.
