Fermenter
Vertical Fermenters with Double Wall- Polyurethane Insulation and all accessories. All three (3) fermenters meet the following specifications:
Material: Stainless Steel.
Total capacity: 1500liters, Effective capacity: 1200-1300 litters.
Thickness of tank: Inner: 3.0mm; External: 2.0mm.
Surface Roughness: <0.6µm
Finish: Exterior brushed, interior polishing accuracy<0.4µm, welds grounded sanitary, strictly no deformation, no scratches, all welding is neat/without defect with smooth surface.
Inner tank Height: 2500mm, Inoculation pipe at the top of the fermenter.
Head space: 25%,
Three (3) CO2 discharge seal pipes directed to the atmosphere (one pipe for each of the three fermenters).
Tank operating pressure: to be determined by the manufacturer.
A low energy consumption mixer/agitator (explosion proof and energy efficient direct drive design for the agitator, with Variable Frequency Drive option to vary the RPM of the drive, agitator design must suit the sugarcane juice and yeast culture viscosity and density), & a vortex breaker is included in the design of the fermenter.
A foam probe (to detect foam formation in the tank) and an anti-foam dosage spot is included in the tank design.
The antifoam dosage to be done ideally by gravity through direct inoculation from the top of the fermenter (or using an automatic dosage system via a metered pump).
A pH probe together with a mini acid tank (Capacity: ±10liters) also be provided as per the manufacturer (dosage to be done by gravity from the top of the fermenter from the top of the fermenter or using an automatic dosage system via a metered pump) together with the first lot of chemicals (Sulfonic Acid), and is safely linked to the fermenters' structure.
A mini tank (5 litters) for urea addition [(NH4)2SO4] as a source of Nitrogen (0.25%; w/v); dosage to be done by gravity from the top of the fermenter. Urea feed valve to be included.
If metered pumps are supplied, all their spare parts piping and fittings to be provided too.
Butterfly valve, sample valve (cleanable and sanitizable sampling cock for collecting product samples), Safety valve/vacuum pressure relief valve with pressure gauge (double-action over pressure and vacuum protection safety valve), Venting valve (for safety draining of the tank and for accurate measuring of current pressure in the tank using manometer-to ensure proper function of the manometer when the ball shower is blocked with a foam), all in stainless steel SUS304/316L.
Two top Connecting points with valves and fittings: one for fresh activated yeast inoculation from Carlsberg tank/flask, and another connector for recycled yeast inoculation from acid treatment tank.
Projected operating temperature: (25-35) °C.

Clean-In-Place ball and tubes with tri-clamp butterfly valve with spares
Cooling Method: Jacket Cooling System using raw water line.
Heat insulation material: Polyurethane with insulation thickness ensuring energy optimization.
Strict leakage and tank pressure tests.
Accurate   control    system:    ideally    Semi- Automatic, with a control panel, which monitors all the fermentation parameters (temperature, CO2, pH, tank pressure, foam formation) in the system and a tank level indicator.
A triple scale hydrometer (3-scale densimeter) for measuring the following parameters of fermentation: Brix/Balling Density, Specific Gravity and Potential Alcohol. This hydrometer meet the followings specifications:
Length: ±28cm
Measuring scales: Specific gravity (0.00- 1.17), Brix/Balling (0-35), Potential Alcohol (0%-20%)
A 250ml graduated plastic tube cylinder/test jar (meniscus)
A cleaning cloth
Manhole: to be adapted as per the tank dimensions (preferably at the side of the tank), ladder to be provided due to the height of the tank.
Is equipped with an efficient positive displacement pump to transfer the fermented broth to the centrifuge for yeast recuperation. One pump per fermenter.
